Do you have a ring in your bathroom toilet? Put a denture cleaner in the water and it will disolve the ring. This will save money and lots of scrubbing.

Open your drapes or shades on the west side of the house in the afternoon. The sun will warm the room, which reduces heating cost.

Save Money at Home
You can save money at home by drying your towels separately. First the towels have time to dry while you are drying the other clothes, secondly, you do not want to put in the dryer sheets with the towels. The dryer sheets put a film on your clothes to be cling-free. You want your towels fluffy and water absorbent.

Save Money on Drain Cleaners
Drain clogs are difficult to deal with since they always come at an inopportune time. Keep your drains clean by pouring one cup of hydrogen peroxide in each drain monthly. It is less expensive than commercial cleaners are and does not fill your drain with toxic fumes. I use all natural soap and shampoo so my drains are usually pretty clean, but hair will clog a drain. Use hydrogen peroxide for your drains.

Save Money at Home!
Did you know that you can save money at home by reducing the drying time?
When you wash your clothes in a washing machine, the clothes get tied up during the last cycle. The wash machine uses centrifugal force to get the water out of the clothes resulting in tightly bunched up clothes.
Take each piece from the wash and shake it. This airs the clothes, which reduces the drying time. The added benefit is it also reduces wrinkles in the clothes.
I use biodegradable laundry products.

Saving Money at Home
My New Year resolution is to be more cognizant of the environment.
Did you know that your dryer could start a fire? The lint trap is the culprit. The dryer sheets have a film, which transfers to the clothes keeping them cling-free. This film also attaches to the lint trap reducing airflow.
Take your lint trap to a sink and put some water in the trap, it the water does not flow you have a chance for a fire. Wash the lint trap with soap and water until the water flows freely through the trap. Clean the lint trap before every drying, and wash the lint trap with soap and water at least once every four dryings.
This saves you money because you reduce the drying time.
